Complete with B2 feeder, 5-12 tumbler, 12’ round carousel, diesel/hydraulic power unit, dust collection and all equipped 44’ long new semi-trailer. On that innovative portable plant every engineered piece of equipment is anchored on a low bed custom semi-trailer and can be easily transported from one production site to another. By sharing the same equipment, every growing market can benefit from the state of the art technology in tumbling. The tumbling process itself may seem simple but implicates many factors. You have to deal with the drum angle, rotation speed, amount of product in the tumbler, age and dimensions of the product and of course, the tumbler liner and lifting material. The best way to control those factors and have a constant result and a repetitive look is to operate on a continuous mode. In other terms, when the tumbler is fed gradually, (at the pace of cubing), the texture is more even because there is always the same quantity of product in the tumbler. The D.I.T. feeding system is the most delicate available and can feed very slowly or very fast as requested without breaking the product. The tumbler, the heart of the system has been carefully design and engineered. Its unique rib-caged inside structure is not only a very strong three-dimensional arrangement, it also keeps the dust and cuttings away from the product during tumbling. Lifting bars distributed in a spiral fashion inside the tumbler make the products roll and wear on themselves without imposing too much impact stress on the concrete product. The rubber lined D.I.T. tumbler is also surprisingly quiet compared to steel lining. This fully autonomous and portable equipment includes an automatic B2 cube feeder, an automatic tumbler model 5-12 delicate, a 12 feet diameter round carousel for efficient hand stacking, a John Deere/Kinecor diesel/hydraulic 35 HP power unit, a dust collection complete system, and PLC control with touch screen interface. This last generation of D.I.T's mobile tumbling plant requires less than 30 min set-up to be operational at new production site. D.I.T. Equipment's expertise comes directly from the producer side. Gilles Desharnais, president, and Eric Milot, vice-president, two engineers involved in the concrete product business for more than 15 years. Both of them are pioneers in the introduction and development of tumbled product in North America.
